Go To Town Planning provides planning services for developers, builders, homeowners, and investors across South East Queensland. Our team draws on more than 42+ years of combined experience in planning, design, construction, surveying, and project management.
Principal Planner: Matthew Taylor
Matt holds a Bachelor of Environmental Planning and has over 20 + years’ experience across local government, state government, and private practice. He has worked with Logan City Council, Brisbane City Council, and the QLD State Government. Matt leads our larger and more complex projects and supports our planners across a wide range of applications.
Town Planner: Zack Soper
Zack holds a Bachelor of Urban Development and has more than 3 years’ experience, including working within South Burnett Council. He specialises in subdivisions, MCU’s, plan sealments and all types of residential applications. Zack specialises in tying together experts including engineers, surveyors and consultants to get the best results for his clients.
Building Designer: Alana Dein
Alana is a degree qualified and registered building designer with over 10 years experience designing throughout the South East and Northern regions of QLD. Alana specialises in modern Queenslanders and highlights include winning the 2021 Master Builders National Award of Excellence for a new build design in Brisbane.
Client Services & Operations: Pat Page
Pat manages business operations, client enquiries and marketing. He has a Bachelor of Management and over 12 years’ business management experience with 8 of those years specifically focussed in design, surveying, and construction-related fields.

Our Specialties in Planning, Surveys & Design
Planning: Our team of qualified town planners and development specialists brings diverse experience across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Our experienced planners have backgrounds in local government, private practice, and development, we understand planning challenges from all perspectives.
Surveying: Our business also oversees a seperate a surveying division called Survey My Block, which provides fully endorsed cadastral (boundary) surveys along with subdivision and re-alignments, site surveys and certification surveys to provide to certifiers. Our blend of planners and registered surveyors gives us an extensive edge and level of experience that other compaies find it hard to compete with.
Building Design: Our in-house qualified building designers specialise in crafting compliant, and visually striking residential designs. With a strong grasp of local planning schemes and construction requirements, we seamlessly navigate the balance between creative vision and practical buildability. Whether it’s a new home, renovation, or extension, our team works closely with clients to deliver tailored design outcomes that maximise each site’s potential.
